The 8-hour class is divided into two 4-hour sessions:

• Thursday, April 22, 6-10PM - SimTrainer Classroom
• Saturday, April 24, 9AM-1PM - Middletown Sportsman Club

• Firearm safety
• Weapon nomenclature
• Functional operation of rifles
• Loading, unloading and clearing malfunctions
• Carry and shooting positions
• Weapons zeroing
• Use of iron sights and optics
• Shooting proficiency
• Cleaning, care and maintenance tips

This course is for those inexperienced in the operation of AR-15/M-4 variant rifles. Due to the high demand for this course, we will only accept the first 12 students who register and pre-pay by April 22. (Online registration not available for this class.) Confirmed registrants will be contacted with a list of needed supplies and directions to the training facility. You will need 250 rounds of .223 Remington ammo to complete the course. Intermediate and Advanced courses will be offered in the upcoming months. Please register and pre-pay at the front desk…first come, first served.

SimTrainer will provide a rifle for use in the class for $25. If you purchase the rifle used, the rental cost will be deducted from the sale price. SimTrainer also has .223 Remington ammo and cleaning supplies available for sale.
